With the receding covid wave, Gopal’s fun school decided to commence the summer camp, ‘Anushilan’ for kids in offline mode again after 3 years.

The activity filled camp commenced in June to continue for 8 days with participation of around 35 kids.

The kids began their mornings attending vibrant Aratis in temple, jumping to the tunes of Hare Krishna maha-mantra. Following the Arati, delicious, sumptuous breakfast prasadam was served to the kids after which the children went on to receive beautiful, practical lessons from scriptures from our mentors and special speakers from temple. Last was the activity part in which children learnt various activities like dance, artwork, drama, musical instruments, and ended the day with refreshing juices and ice-creams.

The camp concluded with a grand program for parents on the last day to witness what the kids learnt in the 8-days sessions.

What is 'Anushilan' ?

In a world infatuated with technological advancement, we at ISKCON Kanpur have taken the initiative to inspire children to connect with our cultural roots soaked in Vedic wisdom and encourage them to imbibe timeless values through our yearly Summer Camp, The Anushilan. Summer vacations are the most eagerly awaited holidays for children, and the 8-day long Anushilan serves as the icing on the cake for the children in Kanpur during the month of May-June. Our aim, in this camp, is to introduce the kids to our Vedic culture through fun-filled wisdom story sessions, interactive games, quality developing activities. We encourage the children to practice good habits like waking up early, deity worship, eating healthy food, meditation, staying clean, respecting elders, sleeping on time, sharing with others, playing outdoors and most importantly mind control. The camp is headed by interactive and trained teachers who help the kids develop moral and spiritual values.
